Swim around, play in the sand or make a bigger splash from the jetty; anything goes at Surfplas and Elfhoeven!
A recreational lake with lovely lawns for sunbathing and playing. The swimming area is screened off and suitable for small children. The ideal place for day recreation! Toilets, showers and first aid facilities are available on the beach. Plenty of free parking is available, as well as a large bicycle shed. (Tip: set your navigation to Reeuwijksehoutwal 4, 2811 NW Reeuwijk). Fancy an ice cream or some fries? Restaurant Paviljoen Reeuwijkse Hout is right on the beach and when the weather is nice (1 April to 1 October), you can also use the side entrance of the restaurant for food, drinks and ice cream. The adjacent De Reewijkse Plassen Landal park also has several restaurants and you can visit the Sup & Watershop to buy water toys and the like.
The Elfhoeven bathing area is in the lake of the same name in the north-eastern section of the so-called “Elfhoevenstrook”. The lawns are spacious and there are toilets on the grounds. Try making the biggest splash from one of the swimming jetties! The jetties are fitted with steps, so it’s easy to get out of the water. Free parking is available at Korssendijk and Notaris d’Aumerielaan. Take your dog as well, but do keep it on a lead and keep an eye on the signboards. The ice cream cart regularly visits the park and you can enjoy good food and drinks within walking distance at Restaurant ’t Vaantje.
