Bodegraven grew big thanks to its cheese storage business. This walking route is an excellent way to discover the history of Bodegraven cheese. This history is still very visible and makes for an enlightening experience. For example, every year during the Autumn Market, the village chooses a new Cheese Queen. And there is a real Cheese Museum Bodegraven in the Evertshuis. Evertshuis also serves as a meeting place for all matters on art, culture and education.
